You can get your full (category A) motorcycle licence using the direct access scheme (DAS) if you’re aged 24 or over. You’ll have to pass the motorcycle
practical tests on a machine of at least 40 kW (53.6 bhp).
If you are under 24 and have had a full A2 licence for at least 2 years you can do the progressive Direct Access to move up to a full unrestricted licence . In these cases you will not need the CBT or Theory – just need to take your
practical tests again.
